Rodrigo Lima Faliveni is a MSc in International Development Studies from Wageningen University in the Netherlands and a BSc in Political Science from “Universidad de la República” in Uruguay. His professional experience and academic expertise falls within a particular and forgotten niche: the link between democracy and development. He has worked promoting democracy and development at the local level in Uruguay and Uganda; supporting democratization initiatives of global governance organizations in Europe; and enhancing democratic regional networks and coordinating platforms of discussion and debate in Latin America. Rodrigo works as a Project Coordinator for the Forum 2000 Foundation and is also an associate of Democracy Without Borders since 2024, focusing mostly on outreach initiatives in Latin America and actively participates in initiatives to support democracy globally, like the campaign for a UN Special Rapporteur on Democracy.
