The world’s largest gathering devoted to issues of direct democracy and citizens’ participation, in 2020 will take place in cyberspace.
The Online Forum on Modern Direct Democracy is scheduled for 21 – 29 September 2020 on Zoom.
Throughout a week-long conference the organizers want to bring together perspectives on democracy from civil society, academia and administrations.
The conference will focus on four thematic tracks: Climate, Sustainability & Direct Democracy the Future of Direct Democracy Democracy in Crisis Swiss Direct Democracy in Practice.
One session will be devoted to the proposed instrument of a UN World Citizens’ Initiative, one of Democracy Without Borders’ key programs.
