India is the world’s most populous democracy and one of the most religiously and ethnically diverse nations. As such it is not only a major player for the advancement of global democracy but also a laboratory and example to draw upon.
Indian supporters of Democracy Without Borders have taken the initiative to prepare for the formation of an Indian chapter of the organization in order to support global democracy and get Indian authorities on board.
Democracy Without Borders is working with international partners and has chapters in several countries. We wish to expand further to promote our cause more effectively across the world’s regions. The Indian chapter represents a major milestone.
Together with our partners Democracy Without Borders runs global campaigns and programs for a UN Parliamentary Assembly and a UN World Citizens’ Initiative. Locally, these campaigns are coordinated by by our national chapters.
The Indian chapter will be officially launched in 2022
Our founding team. Stay tuned as more members join.
