Titled “Putting the Charter to Work”, the event will present proposals developed under the Second UN Charter project, an initiative that illustrates how the UN Charter could be updated to make the UN fit for purpose in view of global challenges.
Draft protocols and considerations in two key areas will be discussed at this event: sustainable financing of the UN and a phased roadmap for achieving collective security and disarmament.
