We are all aware that our planet is facing a multitude of crises—ranging from the threat of nuclear weapons and climate change to poverty, inadequate access to education, and the rise of autocratic regimes. To address these challenges, one possible solution is to promote democratic forms of governance across as many nations as possible and to foster global unity in standing against authoritarianism.
