The Global Forum on Modern Direct Democracy 2022 will look both backwards to the long Swiss tradition of direct democracy and forward to innovations that combine tools of direct and participatory democracy, to ways how direct democracy can be used to protect our planet from climate change, and to best practices for youth democracy. In addition, several sessions are devoted to democracy at the global scale.
Returning to Switzerland, the place where the Global Forum started 14 years ago, there will also be an opportunity to see the world’s most advanced direct democracy in action.
